Life Issues

I was only vaguely aware of the background music yesterday (which is why they call it background music I guess!) But there’s something about this particular song that stirs a sense of patriotism within me and I am thankful to be an Aussie. So since I was all on my lonesome, launched into a duet with Mr. Peter Allen.

As Peter and I blessed the airwaves it occurred to me that just by changing one word in the title and adjust a couple of lines, we would have a new song in the family of faith. See what you think

I been to cities that never close down
From New York to Rio and Old London Town
But no matter how far or how wide I roam
I still call
Heaven home!

I'm always travelling
I love being free
And so I keep leaving the sun and the sea

But my heart lies waiting
over the foam
I still call
Heaven home

All the sons and daughters
Spinning around the world

Away from their family and friends
But as the world gets older and colder
Its good to know where your journey ends

Someday we'll all be together once more
When all of the ships come back to the shore
I realise…

Someday we'll all be together once more
When all of the ships come back to the shore
I realise something I've always known
I still call Australia home

But no matter how far or wide I roam
I still call
Heaven, I still call Heaven, I still Heaven home

Philippians 3:20-21 (NLT)

But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.   He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.
