SOCIAL JUSTICE
It seems to that it has only been in relatively recent times that the Church has begun to recover its prophetic voice and to speak into the surrounding culture about the need for righteousness in the social structures of the nation.
Social injustice renders many people powerless and they become easy victims to many kinds of exploitation. The Old Testament prophets expressed the heart of God for the poor, the marginalised, the displaced, the refugees, the orphans and the widows. This divine passion carries over into the New Testament.
