  • Our Journey Through The Valley (69)

    7 February, 2014

I had a phone call from a friend 2 days ago in which he was reflecting on our situation and expressing his thoughts about how we are handling our circumstances - especially how Bev was a great example of persevering faith.

Then he used a word that, as best I can recall, has not been used concerning Bev over these recent months of deteriorating health. He used the word, "dignity" - that Bev had demonstrated courage and dignity right up to this present time.

As soon as he said it, something leapt within me and I knew without a shadow of a doubt that the word "dignity" was such an accurate and fitting word for my wife. Even in those days when she is struggling physically (and emotionally and spirituality) there is still a lovely dignity expressed in word and action.

We both would acknowledge that the prayers of God's people release heaven's resources that, in turn, enable and empower that kind of dignity.
