Worship is, first of all, a matter of the heart whereas we often spend a disproportionate amount of time on the forms, style, expressions and structure of worship. In other words, its outward expression that occupies much (all?) of our time to the determinant of the heart issues relating to worship.

In the process of anointing David King over Israel, the prophet, Samuel, stated a divine principle that holds true in every and all siutations

 The LORD doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 (NLT)

  1. WHEN WORSHIP IS NOT WORSHIP.

When was the last time we pondered the question, “What kind of worship does God seek and value?” Isn’t it true that our real interest is, “I did/didn’t get much out of the service this morning”? Our focus is on us rather than desiring that God be pleased. The following passages give us some insights into the kind of worship that blesses God and enriches our lives.
